For Eligible Professionals, the Privacy and Security Objective is now Core Measure 9

For Eligible hospitals and CAHs the Privacy and Security Objective is now Core Measure 7

Penalties equaling 1% of Medicare payments started January 2015 for hospitals and physicians who are not meaningful users. The penalty will increase to 3% by 2018 and may climb to 5% by 2020.
