vCISO Services

The leadership of a Chief Information Security Officer without the full-time hire. Eagle sets your security strategy, runs risk management after your assessment, answers customer and insurer questionnaires, and reports to leadership.

Overview

Everything an internal CISO does, on a schedule that fits.

Regulators, customers, and cyber insurers all expect someone to own information security. Many organizations are too small to justify a full-time CISO, or have an IT team that is stretched keeping systems running. Eagle’s vCISO service fills that seat.

It usually starts where the security risk assessment leaves off. A good assessment surfaces major risks, minor ones, and dozens of recommendations. Regulations such as HIPAA then require a formal, documented process to reduce those risks to a reasonable and appropriate level. We run that process: prioritizing the work, making sure risk decisions are made at the right level, and documenting them.

From there we act as your security leader: setting strategy, managing vendors and questionnaires, keeping policies current, guiding your IT team or MSP, and reporting progress to executives and the board.
